Joseph Z. Ben-Asher holds a B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering from Technion, Israel Institute of Technology and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a professor of Aerospace Engineering at the Technion and holder of the Lena and Ben Fohrman Chair in Aeronautical Engineering. His research interests include systems engineering, missile guidance, ballistic missile defense, optimization techniques, optimal control theory, flight dynamics and control, and flexible structures dynamics and control.
